Emmy nominee Betty Gilpin (GLOW, The Hunt, Gaslit) has joined Shailene Woodley (Big Little Lies) and DeWanda Wise (She’s Gotta Have It) in Showtime’s drama series adaptation Three Women, based on the bestselling nonfiction book by author Lisa Taddeo, according to Deadline.
In Three Women, “a group of women are on a crash course to radically overturn their lives,” according to the synopsis.
Maggie, a student in North Dakota, weathers an intense storm after accusing her married English teacher of an inappropriate relationship.
The book, published in 2019 by Simon & Schuster, tells the story of three American women who suffered private and/or public backlash for their sexual desires.
