Warner Bros. Pictures has debuted the first of three short films that will bridge the gap between 1982’s Blade Runner and the upcoming sequel, Blade Runner 2049.
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K, a former blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
Blade Runner 2049 arrives October 6.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve from a screenplay by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, Blade Runner 2049 is based on characters from Philip K. Dick’s novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”
