Deadline reports that Paramount Pictures and musician Ziggy Marley have teamed up to develop a biopic based on the life and career of his father, the legendary singer Bob Marley’s life and career.
Marley just released his seventh studio album, “Rebellion Rises,” last month, which debuted at 193 on the Billboard Top 200.
His music still holds a special place in listeners’ hearts and withstood the test of time, including hits “Get Up, Stand Up,” “Three Little Birds,” “Buffalo Soldier” and “Could You Be Loved.”
Marley is considered one of the most prolific artists in history and is widely celebrated for bringing the reggae genre into the mainstream in his almost 20-year career all before passing away at the young age of 36 after battling cancer.
