The Apple drama will also mark the reunion of Larson and Oscar-nominated producer Howell Taylor (A Star is Born), as she previously produced the dramedy Unicorn Store that not only stars the Captain Marvel actress but is also her feature directorial debut.
The drama is also the second series Media Res has set up at Apple following the upcoming Morning Show drama starring Reese Witherspoon (Big Little Lies) and Jennifer Aniston (We’re the Millers).
Larson has signed on to star and executive produce the series alongside Lynette Howell Taylor of 51 Entertainment and Michael Ellenberg of Media Res, who collaborated to acquire the rights to the upcoming memoir.
The film, which debuted at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival to generally positive reviews from critics, was acquired by Netflix and will debut on April 5.
