A number of actors have portrayed Al Capone over the years, including, Paul Muni (The Shame of a Nation), Rod Steiger (Al Capone), Neville Brand (The Scarface Mob), Jason Robards (The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre), Ben Gazzara (Capone), Stephen Graham (Boardwalk Empire), Anthony LaPaglia (Road to Perdition), and, perhaps most famously, Robert DeNiro in Brian DePalma’s The Untouchables.
After 10 days since Josh Trank’s Capone had made its debut on VOD in May 12, Vertical Entertainment has revealed that the Al Capone biopic has already earned a gross of over $2.5 million which is more than any of the company’s previous VOD releases.
Capone is written and directed by Josh Trank for A Band Apart, alongside executive producer Jason Cloth of Creative Wealth Media.
