CBS Apologizes for Cutting Billy Joel Concert Special Short, Announces Re-Broadcast Date

Billy Joel fans won’t have to wait for the longest time to see his concert special in full.

Many CBS viewers were surprised Sunday night when Billy Joel: The 100th — Live at Madison Square Garden ended abruptly at 11 pm ET, as the celebrated singer/songwriter was in the middle of performing his hit “Piano Man.”

“A network programming timing error ended last night’s Billy Joel special approximately two minutes early in the Eastern and Central Time Zones,” the network explained in a statement Monday.
