With NCIS: Hawai’i joining its fellow CBS shows in releasing episodes on Paramount+ the day after its linear airing on CBS, though, it’s not surprising that the show confirmed it.
Beyond FX on Hulu, shows typically don’t promote the parent network and streaming home at the same time.
It should be pointed out that in NCIS: Hawai’i’s tweet, not only did the show announce that production has started on the new series, but that it will be on both CBS and its streaming service, Paramount+, in the fall.
However, since it’s already pushing its presence on the streamer beforehand while being on a network with viewership as high as CBS’ for several shows, it’s interesting to see if the new series will have a more prominent presence on the streamer compared with other CBS originals.
