Deadline is reporting that Emmy nominee Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies, Heroes, Star Trek: Discovery) will write and direct a new adaptation of Stephen King’s classic horror novel Christine for Sony Pictures and Blumhouse.
Last year, Fuller appeared on The Kingcast podcast, hosted by Scott Wampler and Eric Vespe, to discuss King’s novel as well as Carpenter’s adaptation.
Fuller reportedly plans to set the new version of the story in the 1980s and keep it grounded in King’s original work.
