Coronation Street has revealed its newly-extended set to the public, which includes a touching tribute to the victims of the Manchester bombing in May 2017.
The new set coincides with a move to air six episodes of Coronation Street per week, with a bigger set aiding production by allowing multiple scenes to be filmed simultaneously.
It’s within this allotment area that a bench now sits emblazoned with a plaque in tribute to the victims; in particular, naming Coronation Street superfan Martyn Hett.
Plans for the extension were first announced last year, with its first appearance on screen set for 20 April.
