“Alex Garland and I have a wonderful idea for the third part, it’s properly good,” Boyle began.
Boyle’s current film, Yesterday, about a world where only one person can remember the music of The Beatles, opens in theaters June 28.
The 2007 sequel, 28 Weeks Later, starred Robert Carlyle, Rose Byrne, Idris Elba, Jeremy Renner, and Imogen Poots and saw the UK attempt to rebuild.
