Black Forest will mark a reunion between Lochmus and Borte, who previously worked together on the writer/director’s Jim Gaffigan-starring neo-noir thriller American Dreamer.
“This is a wonderful chance to sink my teeth into the contemporary horror genre,” Borte said in a statement.
“Black Forest is a clever, contemporary thriller like nothing we’ve seen before,” Wander said in a statement.
After driving his road-rage thriller Unhinged to theaters for the first major theatrical release of the summer, director Derrick Borte has found his next project in the form of teen horror-thriller Black Forest, which he will direct and co-write, according to Deadline.
