USA Network has released the trailer for Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story, the second installment in the Dirty John anthology series starring Amanda Peet (Brockmire, Togetherness, The Good Wife) and Golden Globe winner Christian Slater (Mr. Robot, Dr. Death, True Romance).
Netflix co-produces and has first-run rights to the series outside of the U.S. The Betty Broderick Story will air later this year on USA Network.
The Betty Broderick Story follows Betty (Peet) and the wild downward spiral of her marriage to Dan (Slater) in what Oprah Winfrey deemed one of “America’s messiest divorces” before it ended in double homicide (via Deadline).
Produced by UCP, a division of NBCUniversal Content Studios, Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story is written by Alexandra Cunningham, who also executive produces along with Jessica Rhoades (The Affair, Sharp Objects), season one star Connie Britton, Atlas Entertainment and Los Angeles Times Studios.
