Obi-Wan Kenobi, the new Disney+ limited series from Lucasfilm, will debut exclusively on Disney+ on May 25.
“The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader,” reads the official synopsis.
Joining the cast are Moses Ingram (The Queen’s Gambit), Joel Edgerton (Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith), Bonnie Piesse (Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith), Kumail Nanjiani (Eternals), Indira Varma (Game of Thrones), Rupert Friend (Homeland), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Godzilla: King of the Monsters), Sung Kang (F9: The Fast Saga), Simone Kessell (Of Kings and Prophets), and Benny Safdie (Uncut Gems).
The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master.
