The Last Days of American Crime adaptation is written by Karl Gajdusek, who previously wrote for Netflix’s Stranger Things and co-wrote the screenplay for the Tom Cruise sci-fi thriller Oblivion.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Edgar Ramirez (The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story) has entered negotiations with Netflix to star in the streaming service’s upcoming adaptation of the comic, The Last Days of American Crime.
Ramirez is currently in talks to star in the lead role of the criminal, Graham Burke.
The film is set to be directed by Olivier Megaton, who’s well-known for directing two-thirds of the Taken franchise, as well as the finale of the original Transporter trilogy starring Jason Statham.
