The rights to the novel were recently acquired by Focus Features, Working Title Films and Complete Fiction Films, who signed to Baby Driver director Wright to helm the project while Stephenson himself is adapting the screenplay from his own manuscript.
After partnering with the distributor Focus Features for his acclaimed Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy, Edgar Wright (Baby Driver) is reuniting with the studio to direct an adaptation of Simon Stephenson’s debut novel Set My Heart to Five, according to Deadline.
Wright’s upcoming project, the psychological thriller Last Night in Soho starring Anya Taylor-Joy (The New Mutants) and Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit), is produced by Working Title and is being distributed by Focus Features.
Following the conclusion of the journey, Jared becomes determined to write a film script that will change the world.
