The actress won her first Oscar for La La Land, beating out Meryl Streep and Isabelle Huppert (pretty much the French Meryl Streep) for Best Actress.
The film also won for Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Score, Best Sound Editing, and Best Song for “City of Stars.”
If La La Land, which started the night with a record-tying 14 nominations, goes on to win Best Picture, that’ll make this year the 12th time in Oscar history a film has won the top prize and the Best Actress award.
