Francis Ford Coppola already revealed his plans to re-release his Vietnam War masterpiece Apocalypse Now on theaters on August 15 and 18, with the iconic film set to play on select IMAX screens as well.
“In truth, I’ve always wanted Apocalypse Now to be exhibited in the grandest format of cinema conceivable,” Coppola said.
The original film screened in Cannes on May 10, 1979 before hitting theaters on August 15 of the same year.
Which means fans of the classic film can enjoy the 4K transfer on the largest screens for a limited time.
