One week after the surprising departure of director Justin Lin from Fast X, Universal Pictures has found a replacement.
Per Variety, taking over for Lin will be a newcomer to the series: Louis Leterrier.
The franchise began in 2001 with the release of Fast & Furious, which was followed by a number of sequels, spin-offs, video games, and merchandise.
Leterrier is said to be the first choice for Universal as the replacement and “beat out numerous candidates.”
