Bee Season and What Maisie Knew directors Scott McGehee and David Siegel are set to write and direct a female-centric film version of the iconic 1954 William Golding novel Lord of the Flies for Warner Bros., according to Deadline.
Golding’s “Lord of the Flies” was voted as one of the 100 Best English language novels by TIME magazine from 1923-2005.
Golding’s novel was made into a film in 1963 by director Peter Brook.
