Ferris Bueller experience 'Ferris Fest' lets you have a day off just like the truant teen

Ferris Fest will take place 20-22 May across Chicago with several hotels offering special packages for the event.

These words were spoken by Ferris Bueller in beloved 1986 comedy Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – and the character had a point; this year marks 30 years since the release of John Hughes’ film.

To mark the occasion, an immersive experience has been put into place which will enable participants to have a day off in the style of Matthew Broderick’s mischievous truant.
