As it stands, only 2,850 theaters are currently open across the country — down some 500+ less than the weekend prior.
As noted by Deadline, the weekend marks a low point for the theater industry which has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Vince Vaughn comedy-thriller Freaky again took the top spot at the box office in its second week of release, collecting $1.2M (-66%) over the 3-day weekend.
