According to The Hollywood Reporter, Peele’s directorial debut, Get Out, is projected to take in $9.5 million-$10.5 million, easily winning the Friday box office.
Get Out cost under $5 million to make, so it has a nice run in theaters ahead of it.
Should all go as planned, early tracking indicates that the film will earn in the $25 million-$28 million range, which would make it the number one movie of the weekend.
It isn’t enough that Jordan Peele is a huge comic talent, but now he has a successful horror film under his belt too.
