The upcoming HBO Max series Green Lantern hasn’t had much in the way of new updates, but a recent report from Backstage seems to suggest that casting on the series has expanded.
The report from Backstage notes that the team behind the upcoming series is ready to look for additional casts after officially casting Jeremy Irvine as Alan Scott and Finn Wittrock as Guy Gardner, respectively.
The series will also include fan favorites such as Sinestro and Kilowog, and will also introduce new heroes to the ranks of the Green Lantern Corps. The show’s official synopsis reads: “Green Lantern reinvents the classic DC property through a story spanning decades and galaxies, beginning on Earth in 1941 with the very first Green Lantern, secretly gay FBI agent Alan Scott, and 1984, with cocky alpha male Guy Gardner and half-alien Bree Jarta.
It’s unclear who else might be on the radar for the series, although there are plenty of iconic characters to pull from in the world of Green Lantern.
