One of the most dynamic and important character relationships in the early stages of the MCU was the flirtatious banter and romance between Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark and his assistant-turned-CEO Pepper Potts, played by Gwyneth Paltrow.
Paltrow made multiple appearances in Phase 1, with an introduction in Iron Man and returning roles in Iron Man 2 and The Avengers, but after those films her role began to diminish.
Still, Potts is presumably still the CEO of Tony’s company, and since Stark and Stark Industries play a major role in Spider-Man: Homecoming, an appearance by Paltrow wouldn’t be so far out of left field.
Peter Parker’s alibi for working with Stark on his superhero skills in Homecoming is that he’s taken an internship at Stark Industries, so it’s possible that he meets with Paltrow as part of that alibi.
