Upon its release earlier this month, Harry Potter prequel Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them became the UK’s fastest-selling film of 2016.
There’s no point even trying to pretend that the release of Fantastic Beasts has renewed people’s interest in Harry Potter – it’s pretty much certain that J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world will remain in the forefront of people’s imaginations for generations to come.
The fan in question is Tim Stiefler who has named his work Wizardhood in reference to Richard Linklater’s 12-year opus Boyhood.
It stars Eddie Redmayne as magizoologist Newt Scamander who, following rumours the character would be sidelined in the franchise’s future films, Rowling revealed would be the lead in its first sequel.
