Patel was most recently seen in the Beatles-fueled fantasy music comedy Yesterday and will next be seen alongside Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones in the upcoming Amazon drama The Aeronauts, which will bow in December.
WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service HBO Max has been cementing its library for its spring 2020 launch and one of its exclusive limited series Station Eleven is moving forward with the additions of Mackenzie Davis (Terminator: Dark Fate) and Himesh Patel (Yesterday) in the lead roles, according to Deadline.
Davis has signed on to star as Kirsten, a survivor of the pandemic and performer in a post-apocalyptic Shakespearean troupe, with Patel set to play Jeevan, an unemployed lost soul who must rise up to become a leader after the Georgia flu strikes.
The series is being written and executive produced by Maniac creator Patrick Somerville and Paramount Television, with Atlanta‘s Hiro Murai also set to direct and executive produce the project alongside Scott Steindorff, Scott Delman and Dylan Russell.
