Following a pilot order back in June, Danny McBride and HBO will be teaming up again for comedy series The Righteous Gemstones, which has just been given a full series order from the premium cable network, according to The Wrap.
Deadline reports that should HBO pick up the series after the pilot is filmed, Goodman will wait until production is finished on The Connors, the Roseanne Barr-less spinoff series, before continuing filming The Righteous Gemstones with McBride.
The Righteous Gemstones will also star John Goodman, who will play Eli Gemstone, a stern, world-famous televangelist known for his weekly television show, global ministries and aggressive salvation techniques.
No episode count has been announced yet, but this would mark the second collaboration between McBride and HBO in the past two years.
