Willem Dafoe recently compared working with director James Wan on Aquaman to his experience with Sam Raimi on the original Spider-Man film, and he believes the two filmmakers have a lot in common.
When I made Spider-Man with Sam Raimi, one of the most impressive things was that it didn’t feel like an industry film.
For a seasoned actor like Dafoe to heap such praise at Wan, however, certainly helps build the hype even more.
According to him, however, when it comes to the level of enthusiasm shown from a director while making a film, Wan and Raimi are very much alike in this regard.
