Based on current tracking, including expected box office in countries where the film has yet to open, the high-end expectation is that Ghost in the Shell will finish up with about a $200 million take.
Ghost in the Shell was unable to break $20 million at the domestic box office when it opened this past weekend and the film has only made a bit over $60 million globally as of now.
If Ghost doesn’t even make it to $200 million, as Deadline reports some are predicting, the damage will be even greater.
Based on a $110 million production budget, with additional marketing and other costs added on top of that, that would mean the film will end up $60 million in the red.
