And while it’s nice to know that that Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl was made on a $140 million budget and that the most expensive in the franchise to date was At World’s End, which came in at well over $300 million, nothing really gives you a gauge for how expensive these movies truly are and how many moving parts have to come together to make a set work, well, except maybe the snack budget.
In the past, Pirates of the Caribbean films have shelled out upwards of $2 million, just on the snack budget.
