The Hollywood Reporter has brought word that Hulu has ordered the Syrian civil war drama Fertile Crescent starring The Following‘s James Purefoy for an eight-episode straight-to-series order.
The story will aim to provide a new look on the tragic events in the war-torn country and how it affects those around the world.

He was most recently seen in the Netflix British dramedy Sex Education alongside Asa Butterfield (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children) and Gillian Anderson (The X-Files).
