The site spoke to actor Ian McShane, who said that Deadwood creator David Milch’s “two-hour movie script has been delivered to HBO.”
Once the cable network cancelled the show after a mere three 12-episode seasons, Milch’s original plan was to make two Deadwood movies and create a proper ending for the rivalry between Sheriff Seth Bullock (Timothy Olyphant) and foul-mouthed pimp Al Swearengen (Ian McShane).
A script is in the hands of the cable network, according to TVLine.
McShane played the role of Al Swearengen in the show that received 28 Emmy nominations and eight Emmy Awards.
