The race for second place was too close to call, as Universal Pictures‘ American Made and 20th Century Fox‘s Kingsman: The Golden Circle both earned an estimated $17 million.
Internationally, the film started opening in late August and has collected $64.7 million so far, for a worldwide total of $81.7 million.
With the $17 million second weekend, Kingsman: The Golden Circle has now grossed $66.7 million domestically.
American Made, directed by Doug Liman and starring Tom Cruise, opened in 3,024 theaters and averaged $5,627 per theater.
