Following the recent casting of Will Poulter as fan-favorite Marvel hero Adam Warlock, Guardians of Galaxy star Chris Pratt took to Twitter to reveal that production on James Gunn’s long-awaited third installment has finally begun, after four years since the premiere of the sequel.
Despite Marvel Studios’ recent release date delays on other MCU films, Gunn has confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will still be keeping its May 5, 2023 theatrical release date as planned.
After that, they will go on their next solo adventure which will again be directed and written by James Gunn.
The space-traveling team was most recently seen in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame where they were joined by Chris Hemsworth’s Thor during the final moments of the film.
