Here’s a surprising bit of news for your Friday: Jamie Lee Curtis is returning to the Halloween franchise to reprise her iconic role as Laurie Strode in David Gordon Green’s new sequel.
Curtis went on to reprise the role in 1981’s Halloween II, 1998’s Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, and Halloween: Resurrection.
As Blumhouse CEO Jason Blum promised earlier this week, that film – simply titled Halloween — will arrive in 2018.
Now, even the most casual Halloween fan could probably tell you that Curtis’ Laurie Strode dies at the beginning of Halloween: Resurrection, which may have some confused about her return to the franchise.
