The first trailer for Taika Waititi’s Hitler satire, Jojo Rabbit, has been released.
The film, set during the Second World War, revolves around a little boy whose imaginary friend is Adolf Hitler. Waititi – who also wrote the film – plays the Nazi leader.
Jojo Rabbit was acquired from Fox by Disney in the recent takeover and, according to a report in Variety, Disney executives voiced their concerns over the release.
The New Zealand star will next oversee Marvel sequel Thor: Love and Thunder, which will introduce Natalie Portman as a female version of the superhero.
