Davidson joined SNL when he was just 20 years old, and has since appeared in numerous TV shows including Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Jim Gaffigan Show.
The young actor lost his father in 9/11, an event that that obviously had a vital impact on his life.
Davidson wrote the script to the film along with Apatow and Dave Sirus, which is described in the report “as a semi-autobiographical story of Davidson growing up in Staten Island, New York.”
At age 16 he jumped into stand up and used “stark, truthful” language on sensitive topics, including the loss of his father.
