“We wanted Thor to encounter somebody that was near his equal and that his relationship with Jane may have evolved in unexpected ways in between The Dark World and Ragnarok and we wanted to pit him against a character who was much more his equal and in many ways his superior,” Feige tells EW.
In case Natalie Portman’s strong words last year weren’t enough for you, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has revealed the anticlimactic news that Thor and Jane Foster simply broke up off screen between Thor: The Dark World and the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok.
Thor: Ragnarok will smash its way into theaters on November 3, 2017.
Kevin Feige will produce the film, joined by executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Victoria Alonso, Thomas M. Hammel and Stan Lee.
