Lady Bird and Call Me By Your Name star Timothee Chalamet will be playing the title role in the new royal drama, The King, as a young Henry V. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that David Michod.
The King is a modern-day Shakespearean adaptation from the screenwriting duo, who also worked together on Animal Kingdom, which Michod directed.
Since the film is reportedly a modern-day adaptation, it will be interesting to see what Edgerton and Michod have dreamt up for The King, whose plot is currently unknown.
Chalamet is best known for his roles in the Oscar-nominated films Lady Bird, directed by Greta Gerwig, and starring opposite Armie Hammer in Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me By Your Bame, which earned him a best Oscar nomination as well.
