The LEGO Batman Movie opens in U.S. theaters on February 10th, 2017, followed by The LEGO Ninjago Movie on September 22nd, 2017 and The LEGO Movie Sequel on February 8th, 2019.
That’s fitting too, since the character remains as popular and ubiquitous in pop culture as ever, whether he’s appearing in DC Comics’ Rebirth event, being played by Ben Affleck in the DC Extended Universe, or being voiced by Will Arnett in The LEGO Movie and next year’s The LEGO Batman Movie.
While the first two teasers released for The LEGO Batman Movie seemed to hit their mark with most viewers, it’s the movie’s San Diego Comic-Con trailer that arguably does the best job of selling the movie – suggesting that all the Bat-puns and LEGO in-jokes aside, The LEGO Batman Movie may offer a fun Batman story, taken solely on its own terms.
In addition to the previously-listed names, the voice cast of The LEGO Batman Movie is rounded out by Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth, Mariah Carey as Gotham Mayor Marion Grange and the voice of Siri herself, Susan Bennett as Batman’s “Computer”.
