Variety has confirmed that Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant, The Departed) will reunite with his Django Unchained director Quentin Tarantino for his currently-untitled ninth movie, which will be released by Sony Pictures on August 9, 2019.
The release date for the film will mark the 50th anniversary of the murder of Sharon Tate and four others on August 9, 1969.
DiCaprio will be playing an aging actor, while his The Wolf of Wall Street co-star Margot Robbie is is being courted to play slain actress Sharon Tate.
The horrific murder of Sharon Tate and four of her friends by Charles Manson’s cult of followers serves as a backdrop to the main story.”
