Ahead of the film’s theatrical release next week, Entertainment Weekly has dropped the first two songs from Academy Award winner Justin Hurwitz’s First Man soundtrack which are titled “The Landing” and “Quarantine.”
Director Damien Chazelle (Whiplash) and Gosling (Blade Runner 2049) are teaming up again following the smashing success of the 2016 musical La La Land for the film based on James Hansen’s biography “First Man: A Life Of Neil A. Armstrong.”
While the second track, is used towards the end of the film and serves as the background music for when Armstrong has returned to Earth.
The first track is a combination of Hurtwitz’s two main themes for the score which are described as a repetitive, cycling riff and a more sweeping melody.
