Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures have announced a double dose of the 90s animated series Rugrats, revealing that a 26-episode revival of the TV series is already in production and that a live-action film featuring CGI characters from Paramount Players is in development.
Rugrats first premiered on Nickelodeon in 1991 and would go on to run for nine seasons and 172 episodes.
The series had three theatrically released movies, the first of which grossed over $100 million at the domestic box office back in 1998.
