It’s unclear whether he’ll become a full fledged villain in the sequel, or if he’ll be conflicted by the destructive force of his Obscurus.
It should be interesting to see how Ezra Miller’s Credence develops in the Fantastic Beasts sequels.
Obscurus usually kill their host in the process of their inception, so the character is already a bit of a game changer for the Wizarding World.
While Credence remained shy and anxious during the first film, he’ll presumably be able to embrace his magical roots now that he’s free of his abusive mother.
