According to The Sun, the broadcasting regulator received five complaints after the sandwich maker was branded “manipulative” when he interrogated fellow contestant Lucie about her date with Tommy Fury.
Ofcom has received several complaints from Love Island viewers about the behaviour of contestant Joe Garrat on the show.
A spokesperson for Ofcom commented: “We will assess these complaints under our broadcasting rules but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate.”
In the latest episode, which aired on 6 June, Joe’s fellow contestants also criticised his behaviour when Lucie confided in them.
