Due to high demand by fans, Netflix picked up Lucifer a month later for a fourth season and would later renew it for a fifth season before deciding to cancel it once again.
The series first debuted on Fox in 2016 and ran on the network for three seasons before being cancelled.
However, in June of 2020, the streaming service announced that Lucifer would be getting a sixth and final season that would consist of 10 episodes.
It seems as if Joe Henderson can’t get away from the comics, as Lucifer is based on the DC Comics character created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg taken from the comic book series, The Sandman.
