Pop quiz — Is Dragged Across Concrete: A. The name of a ’90s post-grunge album, B. The way you feel every morning when you wake up and read that day’s onslaught of terrible news from Trump’s America, or C. The name of a new crime drama starring Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn?
Dragged Across Concrete is also a reunion between Zahler and Vaughn, as the actor starred in the filmmaker’s upcoming Brawl in Cell Block 99.
If you read the headline, you know the answer is C, obviously (but the other two are pretty believable).
The script centers on two policemen, one an old-timer (Gibson), the other his volatile younger partner (Vaughn), who find themselves suspended when a video of their strong-arm tactics become the media’s cause du jour.
