When he spoke to Deadline ahead of the Black Panther premiere, Jordan said that he’s “really excited” to work with Caple Jr. on the Creed sequel, adding that “Right now, we’re in the process of getting the script tight and making sure that it’s perfect.”
Jordan is currently making the rounds promoting Marvel’s Black Panther, which was directed by Creed helmsman Ryan Coogler and stars Jordan as the villain Erik Killmonger.
Michael B. Jordan says that Creed 2 should start filming within the next few months, adding that he intends to focus his energy next on making sure that it’s a “solid project”.
Although Coogler and Jordan have plans to work together a fourth time (following Creed, Black Panther, and Fruitvale Station) on the true story inspired drama Wrong Answer, the former won’t be calling the shots on the Creed sequel.
