Bloody Disgusting reports that the longer version of the film, clocking in at 171 minutes (up from the theatrical cut’s 147 minute run time), will only be available on Apple TV. The film’s iTunes listing reads “Your purchase of Midsommar comes with Ari Aster’s extended and unrated director’s cut, exclusive to Apple TV.
Following the extended cut of the film’s limited theatrical release, turns out there’s going to be only one other way to see the Midsommar Director’s Cut, and that doesn’t include a home media release.
The film also stars Will Poulter (Detroit), William Jackson Harper (The Good Place), Ellora Torchia (Broadchurch), Archie Madekwe (Teen Spirit) and relative newcomer Vilhem Blomgren.
