Although the film has gotten off to a somewhat lukewarm start at the domestic box office with roughly $28.5 million in its opening weekend, Miss Peregrine has fared much better overseas, with a $36.5 million international debut.
According to a brand new report from Variety, it appears that Tim Burton’s new film, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, managed to take the No.1 spot at the box office this weekend.
Against a $110 million budget, the film hasn’t gone on to become a box office smash just yet, but it’s certainly living up to the modest projections that it opened to earlier this weekend.
